Written in 2013

This song is a story about a married couple that lose each other. The husband is taken away from the wife by some dark force and she has to go on a journey through limbo to find him. In the end she fails and she is left empty and alone.

Floating through limbo just to see you
Lightning guides my way
I know you have been waiting for me
annihilate the lie

I fly and fold my wings around you
I'd die if you left me here
You know you are my heart my soul and mind
annihilate the lie

And all the bones push through the ground
and tear through colors of grey scale sound
and all the people stopped and stared
and wondered who had put them there

Twenty years of this hard life
She calls him heart he calls her wife
they make their bed with crumpled sheets
and share the warm spot in between.

And all the gods look down and grin
and tease the winds
and laugh at our sins
They watched the monsters take him away
Away from her away from day.

And as the sunlight played
across her sleeping face during the afternoon
She awoke to find another living presence
in her half-lit room.
The Angel told her of the trials she was yet about to face.
She asked him if her heart would die
He merely looked away.

So those fiends broke down the door
tied her to a chair and called her whore
and as she stared at the white wall
through tangled hair
she started a war.

It makes more sense not to make any sense
What the hell am I doing here
How do you pull the levers so easily?

she spilt her blood and wine
